Hot White Snow is the name of one of the first fiction pieces I wrote in response to a writing prompt, hence the inspiration for the name of this blog. You can read the original piece here.
My name is David J. Kent and I am the author of books that bring science and history to life.
My newest book, Lincoln: The Fire of Genius is available for purchase at all bookseller outlets. Limited signed copies are available here. The book is also listed on Goodreads, the database where I keep track of my reading. Click on the “Want to Read” button to put it on your reading list. If you read the book, please leave a review and/or rating.
You also follow my author page on Facebook.
Lincoln: The Man Who Saved America, Fall River Press, 2017.
Edison: The Inventor of the Modern World, for Fall River Press/Sterling Publishing, released in July 2016.
Tesla: The Wizard of Electricity was published in 2013 by Fall River Press, an imprint of Sterling Publishing.
Nikola Tesla: Renewable Energy Ahead of Its Time is an e-book published on Amazon in 2014.
Abraham Lincoln and Nikola Tesla: Connected by Fate is another Amazon e-book published in 2015.
Hot White Snow is where I engage in creative writing, respond to writing prompts, and experiment with new forms and styles. In other words, all the fiction and memoir (and very rarely, politics) that doesn’t fit on my non-fiction website.
Scroll through the posts here and, when you get a chance, check out my writings on Tesla, Edison, Abraham Lincoln, and Travel on my official David J. Kent author website.

OMG! I bet you’re one of those rare and wonderful people who have heard of my current place of residence, Oak Ridge, TN. Further, you probably know what they did and do here, at least I hope so. Have you ever heard of the AMSE? Went to a mtg there last night. They’re looking to change the name and a suggestion was made to include the word Atomic. I don’t think this would be a good idea to draw visitors. Do you have any suggestions? Last, to show my own ignorance, I thought Tesla only had something to do with cars.
